So perhaps you're completely new to Coppermine photo galleries and haven't a clue how to go about uploading your art onto this site. If so, then you're in luck, because this tutorial should address everything you need to know. I'll walk you through how to upload and submit your stories, and hopefully all your questions will be answered. If not, feel free to send an email to Admin@ik-eternal.net and let me know.
Step 1: Your very first step should be to register on the site. Please make sure you have read the Terms of Service and Submission Rules before you register and begin usage of the site. If you are already registered and have read the TOS and rules, then log in to your account.
Step 2: At the top of your page, you should see a link titled Upload file. click on it. You will be taken to a page with 8 boxes - 5 for computer uploads, and 3 for URL/URI uploads. You are only allowed to upload 5 computer files and 3 URL/URI files at a time. To upload computer files, hit browse and locate the file on your computer, then double click to insert it into the box. To upload URL/URI files, simply put the url of the image into the box. If you use Photobucket or ImageShack or another web-based image host, then use the urls they provide. Hit the continue button when you're finished.
Step 3: If your uploads were successful, you should get a page titled Successful Uploads. It will tell you how many uploads were successful - make sure the number is the same as the number of files you uploaded - and to click 'Continue' to add the files to albums. Click the Continue button as directed.
Step 4: Here is the step where some people tend to get lost. In the following steps, you will be asked to add your art to the proper albums. You have a few options:
Also, please note that only two sizes are allowed for wallpapers, and that if you want to submit NC-17 fanart, you must first email an Admin with the information requested in the TOS and Rules page. You will not be able to sort your art into the proper folder if you don't.
Step 5: Once you have chosen the proper album, you can fill in the File title and File description boxes. Basically your art title and a little bit about your art goes in those two boxes. They are both optional, but highly encouraged.
Step 6: When you're done, hit continue. If all has gone well, you will be informed that your file was successfully placed. Please note that you will not see your art in the gallery until an administrator has approved it! All art submissions are screened.
Additional Notes: You may also notice a My Gallery link in your menu bar. Ignore that link. Registered users are not allowed to create personal galleries as we are not able to screen those submissions.
